I like the other blog for the Sabres right now..

Where it's not
"OMG Kane is a wrecking ball"
"OMG Timmy Murray always gets his man"
"Omg Murray would be wise to..."
"OMG our goalie will fight you"

The only dumpster fire is your blogging.

Please leave Flyers blogs to Bill Meltzer.

Thanks.

I don't like Bylsma, but this isn't his call... This is Russ Brandon overruling Murray and Bylsma with budget BS. The Sabres are operating at 46 of the 50 max contracts (after losing Grant on waivers)... Players are shuttling back and forth between Buffalo and Rochester instead of practicing with the Sabres on off days, none of the long term injuries (especially McCormick) have been put on LTIR, Sabres have passed on a few decent players on waivers who may have been worth giving a try (primarily Ty Rattie). It was well documented that both Regier and Murray wanted Rattie in the Miller trade, but now that they could have had the former 2nd round pick for nothing more than a waiver claim and 3 open contract slots at the time, but no claim? Now they might not call up a 4th line center so Deslauriers can play Center?! This is getting ridiculous!

Seriously...

The Flyers do stink right now. Not surprising that everyone wants to put in their two cents, but this is the second day in a row that Garth is pushing this Evander Kane junk...

Also, Ghost is not the Flyers' best defenseman, Provorov is. Ghost may be the most exciting D-man, but he's not the best.

Hextall is not going to do anything panicky in season. There will not be a major trade for this team in season. They may sell off a bit like they did last year.

The Flyers issues you present are all pretty legit. But Hextall refuses to trade from a position of weakness and said as much today. Prospects in the AHL mean d!ck to him. They have to come up and prove their worth. People thinking the Flyers are going to panic because of Giroux's age and Voracek's age creeping up are going to be surprised when they don't

keep getting your asses kicked in everynight, while admiring your stocked cupboard.
pretty easy job.

Shayne Gostisbehere as trade bait to catch a big fish forward (see Evander Kane or Matt Duchene)

That's like saying try the Lobster...or the sloppy Joes. Guess which one Kane is

People don't expect panic.
They expect moves to be made that address the team's weaknesses.

...and here everyone was thinking they could get Giroux, Ghost, Voracek, Simmonds for mid round picks.

Clearly what the Sabres are missing is leadership. They need Eichel to be more vocal.

He needs to be more of a strong, angry, bad-mood-when-they-lose leader, instead of the smiling, happy-go-lucky, jovial chap that he normally is.

Yeah what a joke. The Leafs are pretty much there, all they need is time to develop...and maybe another D. Next year I can see the Leafs going after a few long term vets to round out the depth and solidify the core.

But according to Chiarelli-nomics, he'll cost Nylander + 2 firsts

More than 1 D, I would say 3 more Dmen and they have to re-sign Zaitsev and they still do not have a true #1. Rielly isn't cutting it as a #1. He is not even playing at a top pairing level.

Maybe, but he's still pretty young. Was Seabrook that good at 21 or 22 or whatever he is?
